Position Details

St Helena’s Catholic Primary School seeks an experienced, talented, enthusiastic and empathetic educator who is a lifelong learner.

We are a co-educational primary school catering for 500 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

Selection Criteria

Applications are invited from educators who can demonstrate:
1. Commitment as a faith-filled practising Catholic educator.
2. Knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and the SCASA Judging Standards with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and differentiated learning.
3. A repertoire of effective teaching strategies that positively impact student engagement and learning outcomes.
4. Developed ICT skills and the ability to integrate technology in the teaching and learning program.
5. Strength in developing positive relationships with students, colleagues, priests and parents.
6. Initiative, flexibility and a positive outlook towards a culture of sharing and responsibility.
7. Willingness to be involved in extra-curricular activities across the school community.
8. Experience in the upper primary     

Qualifications Required

Minimum four year tertiary Education degree
Accreditation to Teach Religious Education (or willingnesss to attain this)
Applicants must address the selection criteria. It is also a requiremnt that the names and contact details of three referees be included, one of whom must be the applicant’s parish priest.
