Position details:

St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for 495 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher Assistant to bring value to our strong staff team.

Selection criteria:

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  1. Understanding of and commitment to the ethos of Catholic education.
  2. An enthusiastic approach to working with all children and the ability to develop positive and constructive relationships.
  3. Knowledge and experience in working with children with disabilities and special learning needs.
  4. Ability to work under the direction of the class teacher and Students with Disabilities Co-ordinator, while also demonstrating initiative, resourcefulness and flexibility.
  5. Willingness to work in a collegial and pastoral manner with all others, especially those in the Students with Disabilities Team.
  6. High level interpersonal and organisational skills.

Qualification required:

*  Students with Disabilities certification and experience (highly desirable)

*  Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or willingness to attain this)
