Selection criteria

  • Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos  of Catholic education and be an active member of the Catholic Church.
  • Promote the Catholic Identity of the school through its vision, mission and educational goals and values.
  • Have the skills and ability to support the Principal in the Leadership Domains of Catholic Identity.
  • Have a strong knowledge of current educational practices, particularly in the Early Years to assist with the ongoing development of curriculum and school improvement within St Helena’s Catholic Primary School and have a passion for driving educational change.
  • Be able to support a culture in which every student is recognised as having the ability to learn and within which their learning and engagement are actively improved with quality teaching.
  • Celebrate and promote the achievements of excellence and ensure accountability at all levels.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all students, staff, families and the St Helena’s of the Holy Cross Parish.
  • Be a positive and enthusiastic leader who shows the capacity and commitment to the School’s extra-curricular activities and initiatives in establishing structures for family engagement in student learning.

Qualification required:
* Completed or have made progress towards completing Accreditation for Leadership.

* A minimum of seven years relevant educational experience.

* Early Childhood Qualifications.

Position details:
St Helena’s Catholic Primary School, Ellenbrook, is a double stream, co-educational Pre-K to Yr 6 school with an enrolment of 500 students. We are seeking an experienced and passionate, faith-filled educator to complement our strong staff team.

This position will commence Term 1 as a 0.6FTE bit will increase in Semester 2 to 0.8FTE.

  • Understanding of and commitment to Church’s mission in Catholic Education and the capacity to contribute to the spiritual and community life of St Helena’s.
