Position Details

St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for over 490 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. This is a wonderful opportunity for a committed and passionate Teacher to positively influence the lives of students and contribute to our school community at St Helena’s Catholic Primary School. This position will be offered as either an Early Childhood or Primary Teacher depending on the strengths and qualifications of the successful applicant.

Selection Criteria

Applications are invited from educators who can demonstrate:

• Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
• Demonstrate excellent pedagogical skills with a flexible, collaborative and student-centred approach.
• Possess a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum – Health & Physical Education.
• Demonstrate the ability to use assessment and continuous monitoring methods and tools to adjust the teaching practices to cater for the needs of all students.
• Display excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Display excellent interpersonal and communicatiton skills.
• Demonstrate a high level of expertise in planning & coordinating various sporting events.
• Demonstrate the capability to work collaboratively with other staff to promote student learning and to enhance one’s own teaching insturction and the learning culture of the school.
• Demonstrate an ability to lead by taking on roles within the school and being involved in extra-curricular activities, particularly in the area of Physical Education.
• Demonstrate the skills to contribute to and promote a strong staff culture and work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and Parish in promoting a nurturing Catholic school community. 

Qualifications Required

• Accreditation to Teach Religious Education
• Relevant 4 Year Tertiary Qualifications
