Position Details

St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for over 480 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. This is a wonderful opportunity for a committed and passionate Teacher to positively influence the lives of students and contribute to our school community at St Helena’s Catholic Primary School, teaching from Year 2 to Year 6 Science.

Selection Criteria

Applications are invited from educators who can demonstrate:

• Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
• Demonstrate excellent pedagogical skills with a flexible, collaborative and student-centred approach.
• Possess a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum – Science.
• Demonstrate the ability to use assessment and continuous monitoring methods and tools to adjust the teaching practices to cater for the needs of all students.
• Display excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrate a high level of expertise in intergrating digital technologies to enrich teaching and learning experiences.
• Demonstrate the capability to work collaboratively with other staff to promote student learning and to enhance one’s own teaching instruction and the learning culture of the school.
• Demostrate an ability to lead by taking on roles within the school and being involved in extra-curricular activities.
• Demonstrate the skills to contirbute to and promote a strong staff culture and work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and Parish in promoting a nurturing Catholic school community.

Qualifications Required

• Accreditation to work in a Catholic School (or prepared to work towards)
• Relevant 4 Year Tertiary Qualifications
