Position Details

St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for over 490 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. This is a wonderful opportunity for a committed and passionate Teacher to positively influence the lives of students and contribute to our school community at St Helena’s Catholic Primary School.

Selection Criteria

Applications are invited from educators who can demonstrate:

  • Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
  • Possess a sound knowledge of the Religious Education Units of Work, Western Australian Curriculum and teh SCSA Judging Standards with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and differentiated learning.
  • Ability to design play-based learning activities that meet EYLF and NQS outcomes.
  • A repertoire of effective teaching strategies that positively impact student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use assessment and continuous monitoring methods and tools to adjust the teaching practices to cater for the needs of all students.
  • Demonstrate a high level of expertise in integrating digital technologies to enrich teaching and learning experiences.
  • Display excellent classroom management, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the capability to work collaboratively with other staff to promote student learning and to enhance one’s own teaching instruction and the learning culture of the school.
  • Demonstrate the skills to contribute to and promote a strong staff culture and work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and Parish in promoting a nuturing Catholic school community.


Qualifications Required

  • Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
  • Relevant 4 Year Tertiary Qualifications.
  • Early Childhood Qualifications.
