St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for over 480 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. 

St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is seeking an energetic Early Years Educator to join our dedicated staff, working on a Tuesday and Wednesday as the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher in our Little Adventurers program.

Selection Criteria: 

The successful applicant will:

  • Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
  • Demonstrate excellent pedagogical skills with a flexible, collaborative and student-centered approach, promoting student wellbeing and pastoral care.
  • Possess a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent planning and implementation of a child-led, play based teaching/learning program.
  • Display excellent classroom management, organisational. interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the capability to work collaboratively with other staff to promote student learning and to enhance one’s own teaching instruction and the learning culture of the school.
  • Demonstrate an ability to lead by taking on roles within the school and being involved in extra-curricular activities.
  • Demonstrate the skills to contribute to and promote a strong staff culture and work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and Parish to build community in a Catholic school community. 

Qualifications Required: 

* Accreditation to Teach Religious Education (or working towards)

* Relevant 4 Year Tertiary Qualifications

* Early Childhood Qualifications

Education Assistant – Kindergarten

St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for over 480 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. 

This is a wonderful opportunity for a committed and passionate Education Assistant to positively influence the lives of students and contribute to our Catholic school community at St Helena’s Catholic Primary School.

Part-time (0.6FTE in Semester 1 & possibly 0.8FTE in Semester 2)

Selection Criteria: 

The successful applicant will:

  • Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
  • Have skills and experience in working with and catering for the needs of all students and developing positive relationships.
  • Be able to support the teaching program in Early Childhood – Kindergarten (working with individuals and small groups).
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team with other staff.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrate the capacity and enthusiasm to build community in a Catholic school in collaboration with staff, parents and students.

 

 Qualifications Required: 

* Certificate III or Certificate IV Teacher Assistant (or equivalent)

* Accreditation to Teach Religious Education (or working towards)
