ABOUT ST HELENA'S

Our school commenced in 1999 as Ellenbrook Catholic Primary School with an enrolment of 45 students from Kindergarten to Year 2.

OUR SCHOOL

The official Blessing and Opening of the school was held on 14 September, 1999, the Feast of the Holy Cross. Archbishop Hickey, then Archbishop of Perth, agreed that St Helena, a holy woman known for her deep devotion to the Holy Cross, would be an ideal patron for the school and, thus, the school was renamed St Helena’s Catholic Primary School. Over the years, the school has grown to over 500 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

St Helena’s provides a strong foundation for students’ development by providing a supportive and nurturing environment that contributes to each student’s sense of self-worth, enthusiasm and optimism for future learning and discovery.

“Over the years, the school has grown to over 500 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.”

St Helena’s is:

  • a welcoming and open school community – a Catholic community in which everyone can contribute in an atmosphere of mutual care, respect and encouragement.
  • the right size – large enough to provide a range of programs designed to support every student to reach their potential, and small enough for individual care.
  • a school that provides opportunities to shine – all students have the opportunity to participate and gain success and recognition in their chosen activities.
